I have to say that I was not sure about the future of JA after pre-ordering BIA. I enjoyed the game but it wasn't what I was hoping for. Due to the efforts of Michael and the team making the patches I am very excitied for future JA projects. A big thanks to you Michael and you deserve a raise buddy!!!

Changing the character config while in a game.

I have blue dawn and firearms rebalanced running and I just took over San Mona. When I recruited iggy I found that he has 200 perception!! I wanted to drop that some and wondered how I do that? I did it with Ira raising her accuracy a little but I can't figure it out for Iggy.

Blue dawn mod installation questions

22 February 2012 - 04:03 PM

I have downloaded the mod and extracted it into the game folder steam/steamapps/common/jabia. Now when I go into the bin_win32 folder I see the confus folder which contains

Militia_options folder
Mod_options folder
Ammunition.txt
Characters.txt
Items.txt
Main_locations.txt
Main_sectors.txt
Weapons.txt

Now my question is this, I want the hard enemies and armored prisoners. How do I make sure I have this done correctly. I am not a tech guy so I need reatrd speak to understand. If someone can walk me through how I configure what I have to make this happen I would really appreciate it.

bitComposer_michael: enlist these modders!

I have wondered this before and I am perplexed as to why no one thinks the way I do on it. I will use the game UFO: Extraterrestrials as an example. The game as first released was ok and I enjoyed it. Then along came two guys, Bman and coasty. They took the game and transformed it into as close to Xcom as anyone ever has and they made it an excellent game... FOR FREE!!!! They did this on their own time and money because they love the game, genre, challenge or whatever it may be. The next game UFO:ET 2 is in development and Bman has been recruited to help. Now let's look at JA:BIA. In less then a week after the launch you had modders like R@S, Conner, Wilson and confus totally revamping the entire weapon system into an excellent and more workable system complete with reworked and tweaked range and damage. If you haven't tried it you should. These mods are saving and revitalizing your game. If I were in your place I would hope to $&@" that I would enlist these kind of guys because they are doing amazing stuff with little help just think what they could do for you as a compensated freelance modde which would allow them access to all the tools.
