Is there a way to get a character to turn in place to face a different direction? Thanks.

With the character selected, hold down a right-click on top of (or nearly on top of) the character and drag it in your preferred direction. Also works for dictating facing at the end of a move order (just hold a right-click on your destination and drag to the desired facing).

Thanks so much... I had tried a fair number of combinations with no luck.. I think the being on top of the character was what I was missing. Thanks again!
