Customized Merc with Death Mugshot

because IMP was good for changing name, nickname and description, but it didn't seem to work correctly and left out some changes to one of the file, so I'd have
Nails with its original name in one page and its new name and description in another, but with original Nail stats as final result.
However, now I am getting the "crossbone mugshot" (dead merc). I am still able to contact the mercenary, but I get the crossbone mugshot for it.
There is any way to solve this issue? Why this happens??
Thanks,
Jashkar

I have tried to customize Nails using a combination of "Institute for Mercenary Profiling" tool and direct changes to "character.txt" and "main_character.txt",

The mugshot pictures are called with the nickname of the merc and that's hardcoded. Basically what that means is you need stick with the nickname to keep the mugshot. Everything else can be edited. Alternatively, you can use a hex editor to edit the nickname in the exe as well (offset 0x320974 to 0x320B07).

Thanks a lot for the info.
However, I am left completely speechless:
I mean...the developers of a "reboot" didn't just leave out one of the most essential feature (IMP) of the original game, but also made all this kind of "complications" for those who try to set things right??
No...changing the exe is too complex for my limited pc skills, so I'll stick with "Nails"...
Thanks again,
