The part I think I disagree with is that they will never drop what they are wearing. I believe there is a very small chance that an enemy will drop and equipped item which is how you sometimes get shirts, trousers, boots, headgear, weapons, and the like. It is a very small chance and with the modifications I proposed, you sometimes get two weapons. The one in inventory drops at 100% and the one out of inventory drops at some damaged state, usually.

Yes, I agree. There is always a small chance that the enemies will drop one or several items that they are wearing.

Please can you release a version that doesn't alter the orignal values for XP gains?

I added the new version that does not include the XP changes.

I moved the links to Starchris' work to the front of the thread, changed the title to [MOD] and submitted link to the consolidated mod list, since it is more than a concept and directions now.

Can militia also drop everything when they die?

Any chance you might update?

[MOD] Enemies & Militia drop their weapoms and equipment B)

Thanks to this option, all enemies, militias, terrorists, hillybillis and all NPCs will be dropping everything what they will be having.

Can militia also drop everything when they die?

This modification also includes militia. I did not check that but if you will notice that this modification is not working with militia then let me know.

My apology.

I haven't extensively tested militia deaths/drops, but I had a couple who stepped on mines and dropped nothing. I'll keep a close eye and report back if it seems to continue.

I updated characters.txt on the original post to be compatible with Blue Dawn Mod 0.4B (Jagged Alliance Back in Action 1.11). Just drop that file into your ....jabia/bin_win32/configs file (I'd recommend a backup of your other one first). It should cause all enemies to drop their entire inventory with a small chance of them dropping two weapons, based on the percentages they'd drop a weapon normally.

Hope it helps. I don't have the unpackaged 1.11 config files other than those of Blue Dawn 04B, so I can't provide those otherwise.

I personally enjoy the BD mod and this in collaboration but I have a small issue and I'm not sure if its just me or what but every time I use this mod and run into enemies who should have AKs or AK variants they appear weaponless have only the 7.62 munitions in their inventory and always attempt to fisticuff my mercs, as silly as that is to watch while my mercs blow their heads in I would rather see them being a threat.. and be able to aquire those AKs that I'm so over stocked on ammo for :D I've only really noticed this issue in the lower level enemies (due to the higher mostly being rifle whores and machinegunners) if there is a solution much would be obliged to have that fixed. thank you

Was this a problem with the BD Mod or only after making this change? All I did was copy the inventory of the enemy forces into their inventory a second time which should cause them to drop stuff they can't equip. I'm not sure why there would be an impact to their equipping and having weapons. I have not played this change far enough to run into any AK wielding enemy forces.

EDIT: I copied the provided characters.txt into my game on BD version 04b that it was designed for and modified the file that determined enemy forces in Drassen Airport. I started a new game there and quickly got my butt kicked when selecting 5 of each enemy from level 2-5. Everyone had weapons, all dropped at least one, and there were several variations of the AK in 7.62 that were all present.

It was after I made the change but oddly enough when i reapply the BD mod (which nullifies the Allitemdrop mod) They have their AKs again and it only happens when I apply your mod sadly.

I've also discovered that enemies lvl2-5 spawn without shotguns or presumably grenade launchers (only referencing this due to ammo in inventory) its still a bit odd to see this when it only effects certain lvl enemies

The LvL 2-4 enemies that attack the mines near cambre do not spawn in with 90% of their guns, soldiers who would presumably have Type 56s or one of the rifles come in fisticuffing I've also discovered that the soldiers with 40mm grenades in their inventory ussually come in with a Rifle of some sort as I ran a mission twice one without your mod and again with it and its definitively the riflemen that are not spawning with, well rifles in the 3-5 lvls

I installed this mod over Blue Dawn and all the vendors outside the airport stopped selling pretty much everything. They had money to buy stuff from me, but they had little (or no) inventory of their own.

I re-installed Blue Dawn .4b and didn't install this mod and all the vendors were stocked up again. Something seems a little off, somewhere.

Any update/insight on how this would be happening? Or better yet, how to prevent it from happening or what to change to fix it?

I guess that most people now use FinnBat's "Ultimate AIM-Professionals" mod - kudos to him for his effort to create and continue to keep it updated - it is a great effort much appreciated =)

For my first playthrough I found it a bit too hardcore though, so I stuck with BlueDawn 0.4b and this "Drop All Items" mod.
Blue Dawn has been updated by Confus to work with patch 1.13, however the last "compatibility patch" of this mod is for Blue Dawn for 1.11 - so I went the extra mile to edit the 1.13-version of Blue Dawn's main_characters.txt to include the additional items to be dropped (according to the 1.11 version of Drop All Items) - which I'd like to share with you, in case anyone is interested.

main_characters.txt compatible with Blue Dawn 0.4b and patch 1.13Attached File  main_characters.txt   146.24K   39 downloads

I have not edited anything apart from adding the lines with additional equipment and expanding/re-ordering some of the vendor inventories by missing items (mostly ammo and basic weapons for weapon vendors). The base for this "compatibility patch" is the "Normal (Default)" difficulty version of Blue Dawn.

Have fun!

Guys, somehow this is unfortunately not working for me.

I am running the "pure" JABIA 1.13. I copied the characters.txt into ...:\steam\...\jabia\bin_win32\configs\. First thing I noticed - which left me somewhat suspicious - was that there was no original "characters.txt" - which in my understanding means the game won't give a damn if copy the file there.
Secondly I did not note any change. Weapons did not drop any more often than before and when I changed one of the traits of one of my mercs in the characters.txt the change did not show ingame.

So, anyone any idea? I am tempted to try this together with the BD mod, maybe that will work.

Rename it to main_characters.txt

And that will do what exactly? If you refer to my editing of the trait of one of my merc, that what was not the point. I only did this to see if the mod is somewhat recognized by the game - which it was not.

So changing the name into "main_characters.txt" will change that? There is no such file in the games folder. Do I have to change some entry in some ini-file or something?
