Hello 2 every1

I think, many of us would like JA2 micro-management and tactical features to be used in BiA.
Still, there are some desired things that can be implemented rather easily:
1. using clips / ammo belts instead of bulk of bullets - more realistic and far more logic, I guess=)
2. using large weapon slots for other loot
3. backpacks/ belts with additional slots
4. attachment slot(s) for the weapon, not merc.
5. loot size - for example, repair kit should be bigger than lockpicking one, and this leds to
6. making slots grid flexible - could fit 2*1 and 2*2 loot, longer items only for "weapon" slots

Sorry, if confusing.

On another note -- Michael...please do not disable achievements when mods are installed!

You guys should not do ANYTHING that deters the community's desire to rally around the game and create/share/play new content for it.

I can understand wanting to curb farming if this was a competitive multiplayer game, but it's not. There should be zero penalty for modded content. When people read about a game's healthy mod community, that sort of exposure helps create sales. This is a niche game, and it can use all the positive word of mouth it can get.

Edit: Michael cleared this up. The only achievements that will be disabled have to do with collecting (ex. spend X amount of money at Bobby Ray's).

Nice update.
I mean: they are almost only minor improvements, but they're a lot of minor improvements, and that's good. I know many people are waiting for major changes like sector inventory, fog of war, various mercs inventory issues, better AI, more attachments slot and a lot of other big features (and I'm one of them for sure), but just having this kind of info about "work in progress" really fill me with hope.
Let's just sit down here and keep testing step by step. In a not so far "tomorrow" we might end up with a really good game, afterall.

Sounds wonderful.
Thx for this fast reaction.

I know there are much treats about Suggestions
but 2 litle things i miss

A bug that cause that conrads legs are not visible
is easy to fix , he has the wrong value in Charakters.txt (is 3 should be ?2000 )

A Button to send a Merc back home, should be not that problematic (as suggestion his items can be dropped in the Bobby ray Container and the Charakter get his Startitems new )
Its actuall a bit problematic, Mercs like Steroid destroy the whole party

But a special thx for the "not not Supporting" of the modders and the Community around :D
I am really positiv surprised about the speed you realised this patch and his volume.

Ehm.. ERROR - sorry posted an reply to wrong place.

Great,

when the game has been released i was really disappointed by many things. Now it looks like it is heading towards great game experience.
Thank You. Especially, change of approach towards moders is greatly appreciated.

Make it so armor disappears once it hits zero durability. As it is right now, the only options to get rid of armor are:

1) drop them on the ground, creating armor piles all over the place that last forever
2) sell them for $0 to get rid of them all (tedious)

The achievements which will be disabled are collecting achievements. Like spend one million for Bobby Ray's and stuff. Why, you may ask. This one is simple: If people mod the game and change the balancings and the earnings these achievements are pretty worthless.
I won't answer all questions. I do my best to answer those I can and I am allowed to answer.

Please note: Check my profile for updates sometimes. Cause sometimes I update it with interesting posts. Or with informations about my holidays. Which also can be interesting if you are waiting for support.

Gotcha, I misunderstood the original wording in the patch notes. Thanks for the reply. I'm ok with how you just described it.

Other achievements weren't achieveable from the start by the way if you modified the gamedata. However mods without config files do not deactivate anything.

I didn't play the game for a couple of weeks now, lack of time, but there was one bug i found that do not appear on your list. maybe its not there anymore..

When i try to loot ammo when having a full inventory, except for one stack of ammo with some space in it, it fills up my last stack but the rest of the ammo just
disappears instead or remaining in container. wasted a lot of ammo on that one.

thanks for the heads-up on the first update though, looks good!

"Mass Effect 3 will ease the pain." Mass Effect always does! Only getting my pre-order this Friday (the 9th), the N7 Collectors Edition. My backwards country is always late to the party:(

My favorite E-Retailer also listed BiA last week at last (I still like my boxed copies), I might just order it... depending on what Michael means with...

"Info for the second major update? Not yet. A little tease: three core elements will be changed. One will be optional since it will create a complete different gameplay. The others will improve special things."

Especially the "three core elements" part. Although, coreplay changed most core elements from JA2.. and all for worse! Maybe that's why they call themselves COREplay?

- Laserpointer attachments reduce time to aim

that's what i am most exited about, we can finally mod faster aim attachments :D New possibility for the kits just opened, also weapon re balance moders should be happy :).

Thanks for additional ID's though :)

No FOW, no sector inventory, no new airports, no other means of transportation (humvee, chopper)... Longer deliveries, why? 48h waiting for some rifles and ammo is just nuts.

Great changes all. But..

Except for FOW which I knew would not come in this patch I am really sad to miss 3 things.
1. No Sector Inventory
2. No way to faster transfer goods from airfield
3. No ingame info on class of each weapon or more precise info on traits and perks.

To pick to praise smaller fixes from upcoming patch I choose:
- Targeting has several points of origin to become more flexible, further reduced chance of a small objects preventing a shot
- Picking improved, should be easier to select body zones when targeting

These two have gave me many frustrating moments :)

It would definitely benefit gameplay if players could see what weapon class weapons are.
I mean, how better to take advantage of the "submachine adept/expert" perks for example?
