Sounds good, I love this games, but a few additions and fixes would make it brilliant.

I really hope fixing the ugly 3D portraits and reverting to 2D portraits that actually look like the mercs is on the list :D

Yeah, gotta love the "I already know what you don't know but I'm not allowed to say anything but you guys should know that we know that you know what you want but we all know it's hard to know how is it going to work out, because we all know that gamedev is difficult and I don't know if I can say anything. Just so you know..." thing.

Strange, strange things happen on this forum. :D Luckily I have no time atm to play, hopefully when I get to see some spare time, to FOW patch will be there. :)

If the FoW makes appearance, then we'll have 7.62 High Calibre, in which one gets to pause approximately 3 times in a second during a battle, to adjust the mercs' actions due to ever-changing circumstances, such as when spotting a new enemy that crosses the line of the vision radius repeatedly, triggering autopause in rapid succession. Quite frankly, I have hard time figuring out how to overcome this problem even on theoretical level. Perhaps.. once a particular enemy has triggered autopause (due to condition "Pause when enemy is seen"), that enemy then gets tagged as "cannot set off autopause again for the next 30 seconds"?

Whatever. BiA and its ilk have their flaws. Lack of independent merc actions is one, or the lack of control that the player has over those pre-defined conditions and actions. I hate to have to tell them that "if there's a guy with an axe coming at you, you shoot that guy". Another favorite is that when a merc is about to fire at an enemy, and then another enemy runs in the line of fire, the shot is then deemed impossible. Y U no shoot! One does not simply transform a turn-based game into a realtime game. Insert Sean Bean's face here.

Hey, if you seriously want to add something spicy to the game, something that I haven't seen before in any game ever? Add a feature to lob hand grenades behind corners, and through doorways, and possibly through windows, without exposing the merc. Extra points if the "What my team can do to the enemy, the enemy can also do it to my team" rule is fulfilled in this area.

I might not help you with your theoretical problems but practically you can go to options and under auto pause uncheck "new enemy spotted". Problem solved.

Besides, chance is, FOW will be optional.

Any idea on when these content patches might hit?
So far I'm really still waiting on getting the game until most of the roblems are ironed out (and yes, not having a sector/global inventory is a huge problem for me). :P

It´s kind of the Little Tactics Brother to Duke Nukem.

Well compared to the Patch output Rate from BC it will be realy soon :)

I can confirm that work has started on the sector inventory (not the global-cheat version one ;)). I can also confirm that there are lot of other things on the list. I know you want to know if the fog of war is coming back. I cannot confirm or deny this for the moment. I already know if it's coming or not. If you read this posting carefully you will (or at least should be able to) know, too.



You cannot confirm or deny..because you cna't see..becaause of Fog of War? :P



Oh wat does "Sector Inventory (not the global-cheat version)" mean? What cheat versions?
